Sunset

Sunset is built around a glowing centre of gold and white light, spreading upward into a sky of soft orange, pink and mauve. Below, the foreground carries the same warmth in layered amber and ochre, in keeping with Barbara Grenet’s practice of evoking atmosphere and remembered light rather than a fixed, literal view.
