Nearly There

Nearly There is built in cooler greys and taupes than much of Barbara Grenet’s work, with streaked, rain-like brushwork drawing the eye down through the sky to a pale, luminous horizon. Small accents of red and blue break the muted palette, marking a distant shoreline glimpsed through shifting weather rather than a fixed, literal view.
